Assam Tippy is a variety of orthodox tea from the state of Assam that gets its name from the higher percentage of buds which show up as golden flecks, or tips, in our single estate tea. It is a loose leaf tea that is wiry, dark, and well twisted with small amounts of contrasting golden tips. This is a high quality, unblended, Special Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe grade tea with roughly one quarter tips. You can taste the clean and slightly malty flavor that brews to a deep red golden color and has a fresh and slightly sweet aroma.
